The purpose of the course is to improve students’ ability to understand organizations and to act effectively in them. Students will be exposed to important theories and conceptual models for analyzing, understanding, and managing human behavior within organizations. Students will also learn to connect a wide range of organizational situations and human behavior to foundational theories and effective practical management methods. This course encompasses (1) the behavior of individuals in organizations, (2) group behavior in organizations, and (3) how these behaviors affect the overall performance of organizations.
